All Smiles!

On Saturday, Elisa Sofia turned 1 month old, and does she ever seem happy about it!  We got our first glimpses of her smiles early on when she was sleeping and couldn't wait to see the real thing.  Now, these smiles are provoked and priceless!

Luna is an excellent companion to Elisa, and is always gentle and cautious around the new little person in her life.  I caught this shot after putting Elisa down on our bed just briefly while Luna was taking a snooze.  And now of course everyone knows the embarrassing truth that, yes, sometimes, the dog is allowed up on our bed...

It's evident they have become good friends fast.  Surely Elisa will be more fun for her dog when she can make good use of those arms and toss a tennis ball once in awhile!  But for now, Luna enjoys sticking her nose in the diaper pail, and sneaking in a lick to the face when we're not looking.
