Fun times across the border

The other day our friends Emily and Elliott invited E and me to their family lakehouse in Canada.  Just a stone's throw from home, but what a gorgeous landscape we entered!  Going down the long, wooded driveway, I was reminded of Northern Michigan and its lakeshore towns that never cease to take my breath away (throughout decades of summer fun).

E had a rough week with a virus, so we found she wasn't quite ready for all the fun time in the sun and waves.  She sought refuge in the loving arms of Emily, following a tumultuous attempt at a fun buddy bath time with Elliott.
