Happy Halloween!

Okay, so officially, it's Dia de los Muertos, but this post is still relevant.  We had our fill of Halloween fun this year.  Diego and I love this month for a number of reasons... it's the month we got engaged and married, it's a great time to get outdoors, full of fall color, and has its share of spook and fun with Halloween at the end.  Here are some moments we captured this Halloween season...

The rain let up just enough for a costume parade at the Mayers' Halloween party, although this looks more like a scavenger hunt.  LOVE the fall color in the distance.  Next year, if I actually get around to scheduling a fall photo shoot, I want it here!

Here she comes, all dressed as a... child who wouldn't wear her costume.

A friend was nice enough to loan us a festive prop.  Elisa was happy enough just eating her apple not to notice.  This kid and her apples!

Halloween fun isn't complete without a hayride!

A good action shot of the bumpy ride.  E loved every minute of it.

Our buddy Colden was quite the trooper in his snazzy giraffe ensemble!

Party #2: It's a bird!  It's a plane!  It's an unamused bumblebee!

And now, with antenna.

Party #2 and we're ready to rock!  It definitely helped that there was a cat to put a smile on this girl's face.  We might have to dedicate a post just to E's love of cats.

Petite Picasso

Found some time to rest and unwind amidst the party commotion, for a book reading with Dada.

I was unlucky in organizing a family outing for pumpkin and apple collecting (and themed photo shoot of said activities), but we did manage to get a pumpkin to carve... thank you newly opened Trader Joe's:)

"E, what kind of face would you like to put on the pumpkin?  A silly face?  A scary face?  A cat face?"
- "Uhhh... a FACE!"

Aaaand, it's a cat!  The closest we'll get to having one in our house as long as we have something to say about it.
