We had many memorable things to celebrate in December. In addition to a first birthday and Christmas, we also celebrated Elisa's baptism. It was an extra special baptism, because my sister Becca and I chose to baptize our two daughters at the same time. Elisa and her sweet cousin Annelise shared in this sacred ceremony together. They both were very good natured throughout the whole process. I'm sure the warmed water in the font helped! The baptismal hymn Becca and I chose for the ceremony seemed to invoke a white Christmas just days later, so perhaps we had some part in that...
Hail, wind, and rain, loud blowing snowstorms
Following the baptism, Scholars Inn brunch was enjoyed by all. Elisa had one of her go-to favorites: scrambled eggs, and ended up passing out from all the excitement in Daddy's arms. It was a lovely winter day to celebrate the special occasion and we were especially blessed to be in the company of family.
Look at my sweet new shoes for this special day.
You ready for this AE?
Yep, you?
Don't let me fall in there!
Who is this guy?
Oh, he's not so bad!
